Terms of Service

1. Description of the Service

Visual Grocery is a mobile application that helps users create grocery shopping lists, organize products and categories, manage household shopping, and optionally sync data across devices. The service does not sell products or provide food delivery services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age required by your local laws to enter into a binding agreement, you must use the Service under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

3. User Accounts

Some features may require creating an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and accept responsibility for activity on your account.

4. User Content

You may store information in the app such as product names, shopping lists, notes, and images. You retain ownership of your content. By using the Service, you grant Visual Grocery a limited license to process and store your content solely for operating the Service.

5. Cloud Synchronization

If you enable cloud synchronization, your data may be stored on third-party cloud platforms such as Google Firebase. Visual Grocery is not responsible for outages or data loss caused by third-party providers.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to violate laws, upload malicious content, interfere with the Service, or attempt unauthorized access.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of the Service may be offered as auto-renewable paid subscriptions (for example monthly or yearly Premium plans). Subscriptions purchased on iOS are processed by Apple through the App Store. Subscriptions purchased on Android are processed by Google through Google Play. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings after purchase. Refunds, where available, are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies.

Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription where applicable. Prices and available plans are shown in the app at the time of purchase and may vary by region.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party services such as Google Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple App Store, and Google Play. These services operate under their own policies.

9. Intellectual Property

The Visual Grocery application, design, logo, and software are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Visual Grocery shall not be liable for loss of data, profits, or indirect damages resulting from use of the Service.

12. Changes to the Service

We may modify or discontinue parts of the Service and update these Terms from time to time.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.

14. European Users (GDPR)

Users located in the European Economic Area may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data by contacting info@visualgrocery.com.
